HSE Officer - Georgetown

Futurist Investments Guyana Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the role of HSE Officer for current and upcoming opportunities supporting Guyana’s oil & gas and industrial projects. Key focus areas include implement HSE procedures, inspections, risk assessments and safe-work practices. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong safety awareness, technical competence and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and support project HSE procedures, safe-work practices and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct or participate in inspections, risk assessments, toolbox talks, audits and safety observations.
• Monitor permit-to-work, JSA/JHA, PPE and control measures for assigned activities.
• Report incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions and support investigations and corrective-action close-out.
• Apply practical knowledge of HSE, risk assessment, audits to support safe and effective role execution.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and support emergency-preparedness and environmental controls.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification/certification: NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent.
• Relevant experience: 2–6+ years.
• Demonstrated capability in HSE, risk assessment, audits.
• Strong understanding of company procedures, quality requirements and safe-work expectations.
• Ability to work at assigned project locations in Guyana and adapt to operational priorities.
• Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills; able to work effectively in a multicultural project environment.
