Kitchen Helper – Offshore - New Amsterdam

Futurist Investments Guyana Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Kitchen Helper – Offshore for current and upcoming opportunities supporting Guyana’s oil & gas and industrial projects. Key focus areas include support offshore kitchen/catering operations, hygiene and food-service activities. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong safety awareness, technical competence and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Assist cooks and catering staff with food preparation, service and routine kitchen duties.
• Clean and sanitise utensils, work surfaces, equipment and food-service areas.
• Receive, store and rotate food supplies in accordance with food-safety procedures.
• Support waste segregation, housekeeping and stock-control activities.
• Work effectively across offshore shift schedules and follow instructions from catering supervision.
• Comply with food hygiene, PPE, offshore HSE and emergency procedures.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification/certification: Food safety training preferred.
• Relevant experience: 1–3+ years.
• Demonstrated capability in Food hygiene, offshore work.
• Strong understanding of HSE, permit-to-work and safe-work practices relevant to the assigned role.
• Ability to work at offshore/project locations and meet applicable medical, safety and rotation requirements.
• Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills; able to work effectively in a multicultural project environment.
