Mechanical Technician - Rose Hall

Futurist Investments Guyana Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Mechanical Technician for current and upcoming opportunities supporting Guyana’s oil & gas and industrial projects. Key focus areas include maintain and troubleshoot mechanical equipment on FPSO/offshore facilities. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong safety awareness, technical competence and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Perform or support preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned equipment and systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair faults using approved procedures, tools and technical documentation.
• Execute work orders through the CMMS and provide clear completion and equipment-condition records.
• Support reliability, root-cause and continuous-improvement activities to reduce downtime.
• Apply practical knowledge of Rotating equipment, pumps, maintenance to support safe and effective role execution.
• Comply with LOTO, permit-to-work, HSE and applicable technical standards at all times.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification/certification: Technical diploma/trade certification.
• Relevant experience: 2–6+ years.
• Demonstrated capability in Rotating equipment, pumps, maintenance.
• Strong understanding of HSE, permit-to-work and safe-work practices relevant to the assigned role.
• Ability to work at offshore/project locations and meet applicable medical, safety and rotation requirements.
• Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills; able to work effectively in a multicultural project environment.
