Well Engineer - Providence

Futurist Investments Guyana Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Well Engineer for current and upcoming opportunities supporting Guyana’s oil & gas and industrial projects. The role will support wells activities across onshore and/or offshore assignments, with a strong focus on safe execution, quality, reliability and effective project delivery.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for well design, completion, intervention or lifecycle activities as applicable.
• Prepare and review programmes, calculations, technical procedures and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with drilling, completions, service companies and offshore operations during execution.
• Monitor well performance, operational data, risks and technical issues and recommend solutions.
• Apply practical knowledge of Well design, completion, drilling to support safe and effective role execution.
• Ensure well-integrity, barrier, well-control and HSE requirements are maintained.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification/certification: Petroleum/Mechanical Engineering.
• Relevant experience: 3–8+ years.
• Demonstrated capability in Well design, completion, drilling, WellCat/related.
• Strong understanding of HSE, permit-to-work and safe-work practices relevant to the assigned role.
• Ability to work at offshore/project locations and meet applicable medical, safety and rotation requirements.
• Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills; able to work effectively in a multicultural project environment.
