Futurist Investments Guyana Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Assistant Mooring Master for current and upcoming opportunities supporting Guyana’s oil & gas and industrial projects. Key focus areas include marine/offshore leadership; mooring operations; safety and vessel coordination. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong safety awareness, technical competence and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Location: Georgetown, Guyana / Offshore Guyana

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Mooring Master with planning and execution of safe FPSO/vessel mooring and unmooring operations.
- Coordinate deck crews, support vessels and marine communications during mooring activities.
- Verify readiness of mooring equipment, lines, winches, fenders and associated safety controls.
- Monitor weather, sea-state and operational conditions and escalate unsafe conditions promptly.
- Maintain mooring records, checklists and handover information.
- Comply with marine procedures, STCW requirements, permit-to-work and offshore HSE standards.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification/certification: STCW / marine qualifications; offshore medical.
- Relevant experience: 5+ years preferred.
- Demonstrated capability in Offshore marine operations, mooring, HSE.
- Strong understanding of HSE, permit-to-work and safe-work practices relevant to the assigned role.
- Ability to work at offshore/project locations and meet applicable medical, safety and rotation requirements.
- Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills; able to work effectively in a multicultural project environment.
