Futurist Investments Guyana Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Assistant Safety Officer for current and upcoming opportunities supporting Guyana’s oil & gas and industrial projects. Key focus areas include support HSE inspections, reporting, risk controls and safety programmes. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong safety awareness, technical competence and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Support senior personnel with safety activities, inspections, coordination and day-to-day execution.
- Conduct or participate in inspections, risk assessments, toolbox talks, audits and safety observations.
- Monitor permit-to-work, JSA/JHA, PPE and control measures for assigned activities.
- Report incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions and support investigations and corrective-action close-out.
- Apply practical knowledge of HSE, risk assessment, incident reporting to support safe and effective role execution.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and support emergency-preparedness and environmental controls.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification/certification: NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent preferred.
- Relevant experience: 2–6+ years.
- Demonstrated capability in HSE, risk assessment, incident reporting.
- Strong understanding of company procedures, quality requirements and safe-work expectations.
- Ability to work at offshore/project locations and meet applicable medical, safety and rotation requirements.
- Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills; able to work effectively in a multicultural project environment.
