Corrosion Engineer - Mabaruma

Futurist Investments Guyana Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Corrosion Engineer for current and upcoming opportunities supporting Guyana’s oil & gas and industrial projects. The role will support integrity activities across onshore and/or offshore assignments, with a strong focus on safe execution, quality, reliability and effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Support asset-integrity management for pipelines, static equipment or facilities as applicable to the role.
• Review inspection data, corrosion information, integrity assessments and risk-based inspection plans.
• Identify degradation mechanisms and recommend monitoring, repair or mitigation actions.
• Coordinate inspections, integrity studies and technical interfaces with operations and maintenance teams.
• Apply practical knowledge of Corrosion control, materials, RBI to support safe and effective role execution.
• Ensure work complies with applicable codes, standards, management-of-change and HSE requirements.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification/certification: Materials/Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering.
• Relevant experience: 3–8+ years.
• Demonstrated capability in Corrosion control, materials, RBI.
• Strong understanding of HSE, permit-to-work and safe-work practices relevant to the assigned role.
• Ability to work at offshore/project locations and meet applicable medical, safety and rotation requirements.
• Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills; able to work effectively in a multicultural project environment.
