Marine Superintendent - Bartica

Futurist Investments Guyana Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Marine Superintendent for current and upcoming opportunities supporting Guyana’s oil & gas and industrial projects. The role will support marine activities across onshore and/or offshore assignments, with a strong focus on safe execution, quality, reliability and effective project delivery.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Lead field execution for marine activities and coordinate personnel, contractors and operational interfaces.
• Coordinate watchkeeping, deck, mooring or marine-assurance activities as applicable to the role.
• Monitor vessel readiness, weather, communications and operational interfaces with offshore teams.
• Ensure marine activities are carried out under approved procedures, permits and risk controls.
• Apply practical knowledge of Marine assurance, vessel operations to support safe and effective role execution.
• Promote safe navigation, environmental protection and effective communication across marine stakeholders.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification/certification: STCW / marine licence.
• Relevant experience: 5–10+ years.
• Demonstrated capability in Marine assurance, vessel operations.
• Strong understanding of HSE, permit-to-work and safe-work practices relevant to the assigned role.
• Ability to work at offshore/project locations and meet applicable medical, safety and rotation requirements.
• Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills; able to work effectively in a multicultural project environment.
