Automation Technician - Linden

Futurist Investments Guyana Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Automation Technician for current and upcoming opportunities supporting Guyana’s oil & gas and industrial projects. The role will support controls activities across onshore and/or offshore assignments, with a strong focus on safe execution, quality, reliability and effective project delivery.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and support automation and control systems used in industrial or offshore operations.
• Work with PLC, DCS, SCADA, SIS and associated field instrumentation as applicable to the assignment.
• Perform diagnostics, testing, configuration checks and fault resolution in accordance with approved procedures.
• Support preventive maintenance, backups, change control and system reliability activities.
• Apply practical knowledge of PLC, instrumentation, troubleshooting to support safe and effective role execution.
• Maintain accurate technical records and comply with cyber, HSE and permit-to-work requirements.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification/certification: Automation/Instrumentation qualification.
• Relevant experience: 2–6+ years.
• Demonstrated capability in PLC, instrumentation, troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of HSE, permit-to-work and safe-work practices relevant to the assigned role.
• Ability to work at offshore/project locations and meet applicable medical, safety and rotation requirements.
• Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills; able to work effectively in a multicultural project environment.
