Banksman / Slinger - Linden

Futurist Investments Guyana Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Banksman / Slinger for current and upcoming opportunities supporting Guyana’s oil & gas and industrial projects. The role will support offshore services activities across onshore and/or offshore assignments, with a strong focus on safe execution, quality, reliability and effective project delivery.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Direct lifting operations using approved hand/radio signals and maintain clear communication with crane operators.
• Select, inspect and correctly attach certified slings, shackles and lifting accessories.
• Confirm loads, exclusion zones and lift-plan requirements before lifting begins.
• Guide suspended loads safely and prevent personnel from entering hazardous areas.
• Report damaged or uncertified lifting gear and stop unsafe lifts when necessary.
• Follow lifting, dropped-object, worksite and offshore HSE procedures.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification/certification: Lifting certification.
• Relevant experience: 1–5+ years.
• Demonstrated capability in Lifting operations, banksman duties.
• Strong understanding of HSE, permit-to-work and safe-work practices relevant to the assigned role.
• Ability to work at offshore/project locations and meet applicable medical, safety and rotation requirements.
• Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills; able to work effectively in a multicultural project environment.
